Non-Resident Enrollment

Wisconsin's Regular Open Enrollment Period for the 2019-2020 school year opens Monday, February 4, 2019, and ends Tuesday, April 30, 2019.  Applications can be completed at the WI DPI website.

For applications after July 1, 2019, please visit the WI DPI website for more information about the 2019-2020 Alternative Open Enrollment process.

Important Information for New Students: If you applied to the Ripon Area School District/Odyssey Academy of Virtual Learning through the open-enrollment process AND have accepted/confirmed your open-enrollment seat with the Ripon Area School District office, you will receive a "Welcome to Odyssey" email from the Ripon Area School District beginning in June. This email will contain important enrollment information and the steps necessary to begin the enrollment process for your student(s).

Enrollment Process for the 2019-2020 School Year
To apply for enrollment in Odyssey Academy for Virtual Learning  for the 2019-2020 school year:

  • Complete a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Open Enrollment application on the DPI website between Monday, February 4, 2019 and Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
  • Upon receipt and review of this application by the Ripon Area School District, you will be notified by the Ripon Area School District’s administrative office whether or not the open enrollment application you submitted is approved.  Notifications will be emailed to families no later than Friday, June 7, 2019.
  • If approved, families will be asked to confirm with the Ripon Area School District’s administrative office their intent to attend Odyssey by June 28, 2019.
  • Upon confirmation of the enrollment intent, families will then be sent specific enrollment information for your student(s) beginning in mid-June via email.  All requested enrollment information must be received by the office before your student(s) enrollment is complete.

IMPORTANT to NOTE: By Wisconsin State Statute, parents are only allowed to apply one time in a specific school district for enrollment through the open-enrollment process; therefore, if you apply during the regular open-enrollment period and are denied due to space, you are not allowed to use the alternative open-enrollment process to re-apply, even if there is space available during any given school year. If you have questions about this process, please contact the Department of Public Instruction.
If you have any questions regarding Wisconsin's open-enrollment process, please contact the DPI. If you have questions regarding a submitted open-enrollment application, please contact the RASD Administrative Services Center at (920) 748-4600.
